NTP uses 80 foreign, local indicators to gauge govt bodies performance: CEO

Thamir Al-Sadoun, CEO of National Transformation Program (NTP)

Thamir Al-Sadoun, CEO of National Transformation Program (NTP), said as many as 80 international and local indicators are being used to measure the performance of government bodies, in an effort to maximize achievements, boost influence and deliver the program's goals by 2025.

In a statement to Argaam today, March 13, on the sidelines of the National Transformation Program Forum, Al-Sadoun noted that NTP has been running for six years now. It is deemed one of the first outcomes of the Saudi Vision 2030, with 2025 objectives still in the pipeline.

According to the CEO, there are some initiatives being rolled out by local government entities aimed at enabling the private sector given its role as a key partner. This is besides the remarkable uptick in the number of small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

NTP aims to realize 35% of the Saudi Vision 2030 goals, Al-Sadoun stressed. He underlined that the program is considered a major enabler of the rest of the Vision 2030 programs, being directly linked with empowering the private and non-profit sectors, while improving the performance of government bodies.

Some of the program's goals were already met before 2030. This included raising female participation in the labor market and increasing the number of volunteers by 2025, which were achieved in 2022.
