The Ministry of Education announced the 1445 AH academic year calendar for general and university education and technical, as well as vocational training.

 

There will be three semesters over 38 academic weeks, including 180 school days, and 60 days of various vacations during the school year, in addition to 68-day summer vacation.

 

The first semester starts on Sunday, August 20, 2023, and ends at the close of the working hours on Thursday, November 16, 2023.

 

The second semester begins on Sunday, November 26, 2023, and ends at the close of the working hours on Thursday, February 22, 2024.

 

The third academic semester will commence on Sunday, March 3, 2024, and ends at the close of the working hours on Monday, June 10, 2024.

 

Educational supervisors and employees in education offices, schools and institutes at all educational levels and kindergartens will return back work on Sunday, August 13, 2023, which coincides the start of the second-round exams.

 

The ministry, as reported by Saudi Press Agency, pointed out that the new academic calendar includes 10 diversified vacations, including four long vacations, the end of the first and second semesters, the mid-semester vacation, in addition to the National Day and Foundation Day holidays, as well as Eid Al-Fitr vacation.

 

The academic calendar for the year provides public and private universities, the General Organization for Technical and Vocational Training, Saudi schools abroad and community schools with a sort flexibility to amend their calendars according to specific controls.

 

The academic year 1446/1447 AH will start on Sunday, August 18, 2024.
