GOSI says insurance benefit expenses reach SAR 10.7 billion in July

Saudi Arabia's General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI) said that total expenses of insurance benefits stood at over SAR 10.7 billion in July.

The compensation of the unemployment insurance scheme (SANED) exceeded SAR 78 million in July, while the total pensions disbursed to the occupational hazards reached more than SAR 15.5 million, GOSI said in a statement.

More than 124,000 Saudi subscribers were registered in July. The number of transactions online surpassed 2.8 million and the number of GOSI website visitors exceeded 1.9 million.

 GOSI added that more than 163,000 beneficiaries and employers benefited from customer services around the clock. The number is users that downloaded the GOSI application on smart phones exceeded 128,000.
