Sure says Hajj Ministry IT project award cancelled

Sure Global Tech Co. was notified on Oct. 10 that the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah cancelled the project awarded in July to operate the information technology (IT) services, according to a statement to Tadawul.

The decision was taken by the committee responsible for reviewing claims by competitors and contractors in addition to prices amendment requests.

“It is important to note that the cancellation was not due to any fault on our part, but rather arose from an error in the evaluation process used by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah,” the statement said.

The company remains committed to capturing the optimum investment opportunities, diversifying product portfolio and introducing new products to secure more sources of income.

The company was awarded, on July 19, a project worth SAR 46.43 million, including value-added tax, to provide information technology services for the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, according to data available with Argaam.
