Leen Alkhair Trading Co. signed, on Dec. 10, a one-year memorandum of understanding (MoU) with China’s Higreen Co. and the Arab-Chinese Investment Fund.

The agreement aims to cooperate in food security, agricultural development and exporting marine products, poultry, dairy, dates, vegetables and local fruits to China, Leen Alkahir said in a statement to Tadawul

The cooperation will take place through displaying Saudi products inside a specialized logistics center in Shenzhen and introducing state-of-the-art agricultural technologies to the local market, as per applicable laws and regulations.

The MoU came in line with the Kingdom’s aspirations to achieve Vision 2030 goals, of which realizing food security is the most prominent. It also reflects the company’s effort towards development and expansion.

The related financial impact will reflect from the start of the first quarter of 2024.

There are no related parties to the deal, the statement added.
