Petro Rabigh shuts down olefin cracker for emergency maintenance

Rabigh Refining and Petrochemical Co. (Petro Rabigh) announced the unscheduled shutdown of the high-olefin fluid catalytic cracker (HOFCC) for urgent and necessary maintenance to ensure the unit’s safety and reliability. 

 

The financial impact of the shutdown is expected to appear in the fourth quarter of 2023 and the first quarter of 2024, the company said today, Dec. 28, in a statement to Tadawul.

 

Any relevant developments will be announced in due course, the company added.
