NomuC closes 2023 up 26%, trading value declines by 40%

The Parallel Market Capped Index (NomuC) closed 2023 up by 26%, or 5,112 points to 24,529 points, compared to 19,417 points at 2022 close.
Trading of shares listed in Nomu is limited to categories of qualified investors in accordance with the Parallel Market Listing Rules.
In 2023, the Nomu-Parallel Market witnessed the transition of Sumou Real Estate Co. and Riyadh Cement Co. to the main market after fulfilling the regulatory requirements.
The year also saw the listing of 29 companies on the Nomu-Parallel Market through initial public offerings (IPOs) and six others by direct listing.

The Index Monthly Performance
NomuC index recorded a positive performance in five months, with the best performance registered in June, when the index jumped by 22.9%.
Meanwhile, the gauge reported a negative performance in seven months, with the largest drop occurring in July, when NomuC fell by 6.3%.

The index hit its intra-year high of 30,528 points on June 19, 2023, while its highest close was recorded on June 18, 2023, when it reached 28,988 points, NomuC’s highest close ever.
The index intra-year low was at 18,702 points on Feb. 6, 2023, and its intra-year steepest close was at 18,762 points on the same day.
The benchmark’s largest daily rise was on June 15, 2023, with 2,049 points, while the largest daily decline was seen on June 20, 2023, at 1,207 points.
The highest daily trading value in 2023 was recorded on Feb. 23, 2023, at about SAR 340.3 million, while the lowest trading value was on Nov. 6, 2023, at SAR 10.2 million.
