City Cement obtains EPDs on premiere products

City Cement Co. successfully obtained environmental product declarations (EPDs) for its premiere cement products, ordinary Portland cement, green finishing cement, and sulfate-resistant cement.

According to a statement to Tadawul, the company registered and published the three reports through the international EPD system, the first global program for registering and publishing environmental disclosure reports in the world (https://www.environdec.com/home).

This achievement confirms City Cement’s firm commitment to environmental responsibility, not only during the production stage, but throughout the product’s life cycle. This interest stems from the company's future vision and its management's awareness of the growing importance of providing its shareholders and stakeholder partners with reliable and transparent information about the environmental impact of its products.

The move aims to support sustainable construction activities in the Kingdom, and it comes in line with global trends in dealing with environmental challenges and the expectations of investors at the local and international levels, the statement pointed out.
