GASCO invests in human capital, environment protection for LPG supply sustainability

National Gas and Industrialization Co. (GASCO) applies the best practices to comply with the sustainability standards, as its core strategy is mainly based on human capital development and environment protection.  

GASCO serves all Saudi regions through supplying them with LPG. Its net capacity reaches more than 400,000 barrels, covering daily demand in the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.

Over the past years, GASCO fulfilled customers' LPG needs without facing a shortage in supplies and maintained the LPG quality and specifications. The company emphasized its LPG sustainability, which ensures stable supplies.

The firm stores LPG in a closed storage tank that protects the product from pollution and maintains its purity. Distributions are managed carefully to ensure the safe supply of LPG to customers, in addition to quality control to maintain high standards from the source to the end user.

In a statement to Argaam, GASCO explained that its business model achieves a balance between meeting customers’ energy needs and preserving the environment for future generations, as follows:

Low-carbon emissions: LPG produces less-carbon dioxide emissions when burned, compared to other fossil fuel sources.

Complete combustion: LPG is burned completely and efficiently, which reduces harmful emissions such as particulates and pollutants.

Environmentally friendly: LPG contains a small amount of impurities, which leads to reduced emissions of toxins and harmful substances. Thus, it is considered cleaner than most other fuel sources.

ISO 45001: An international standard that aims to improve health, safety and occupational management, in addition to providing a framework that helps improve worker safety and reduce occupational and health risks.
