ACWA Power inks SAR 18.2B PPA with Uzbekistan's National Power Grid

ACWA Power Co. signed today, May 2, a power purchase agreement (PPA) worth nearly SAR 18.2 billion with the National Power Grid of Uzbekistan for the Aral 5GW wind power project, the company said in a statement to Tadawul.

 

The contract is for 25 years and covers construction, ownership, operation, and transfer until the end of the PPA, the company added.

The related financial impact will be announced at the time of the project's first phase financial close, which will be announced in due course, ACWA Power added.

 

It further noted that the project is in the development stage, and the total investment value (contract value) may change when it reaches financial close.
