OPEC+ has postponed its output policy meeting by one day to June 2. The meeting will be held virtually. It was originally scheduled to take place in Vienna on June 1.
Energy ministers will meet next month to discuss oil production following a statement by the Russian Ministry of Energy that the country exceeded the agreed production quotas in April due to technical reasons.
In a recent report, Citi said it continues to expect that OPEC+ holds its production cuts through Q3, and also projected the group to hold through the rest of 2024 and into H1 2025.
