Licensed rooms in Makkah rise to 227,000 in Hajj season

The licensed hospitality facilities in Makkah reached 816 in Hajj season this year, with more than 227,000 room, according to a statement from the Ministry of Tourism.

The hospitality facilities include 801 hotels, 12 apartments, and three tourist lodges, the ministry said. It noted that the total number of licensed rooms increased 38% during the first quarter of 2024 compared with a year earlier, Saudi Press Agency reported.
