The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) announced the imposition of SAR 4.58 million worth of fines in Q2 2024 against entities and individuals for violating the Civil Aviation Law and its executive regulations as well as instructions issued by the Authority.

 

The Authority indicated, in its Q2 2024 report, that this came under decisions (111 in total) issued by the Committee for Reviewing Violations of the Provisions of the Civil Aviation Law.

 

As many as 92 penalties were issued against air carriers in Q2 2024 for violating the regulation of protecting passenger rights, valued at SAR 4.4 million. Another five fines worth SAR 140,000 were issued against violating air carriers for not complying with GACA instructions.
