Cluster2: Passengers up 13% in Q3 2024, flights 12%

Cluster2 OpCo, which manages the operation of Saudi airports, said the number of passengers leapt 13% YoY to 4.8 million in Q3 2024.

The number of flights also increased by 12% YoY to 38,800 in the three-month period.

Cluster2, launched on January 1, 2022, operates and develops the Kingdom's local, regional and tourist airports. It aims to manage and operate 22 airports throughout the country to meet tourism targets and contribute to the development of the aviation sector.

The airports managed and operated by the company include Al-Ula International Airport, Najran International Airport, Bisha Airport, Arar Airport, Sharurah Airport, Qurayyat Airport, and King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Airport in Jazan. The company also manages and operates King Saud bin Abdulaziz Airport in Al-Baha, Hail International Airport, NEOM Bay International Airport, Taif International Airport, Abha International Airport, Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Qassim, Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Airport in Tabuk. This is in addition to Prince Abdul Mohsen bin Abdulaziz Airport in Yanbu, Al Wajh Airport, Dawadmi Airport, Rafha Airport, Al Jouf International Airport, Tarif Airport, Wadi Al Dawasir Airport, and Rabigh Airport.

Cluster2 said that air cargo weights reached approximately 265,600 kilograms during the third quarter.

The company noted that four new routes were launched, namely NEOM-Cairo, Arar-Cairo, NEOM-Istanbul, and Qassim-Trabzon, which are operated by flynas and Saudia.

Arar Airport was licensed during the third quarter, officially becoming an international airport.

The company is a subsidiary of Airports Holding Co., which was established on April 13, 2013. It manages and operates 27 airports around the Kingdom, according to Argaam's data.

Through its subsidiaries - Riyadh Airports, Jeddah Airports, Dammam Airports, and Cluster2 - Airports Holding aims to develop the Kingdom's airports and advance their performance in pace with the rapid development being witnessed by the Kingdom.
