HRSD Ministry cuts wage protection file upload period on Mudad

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD) reduced the deadline for uploading wage protection files on the Mudad platform from 60 days to 30 days, effective March 1.

In a statement, the ministry said establishments previously had up to two months to submit wage protection files. Under the new rule, businesses must upload files within one month to ensure accuracy and compliance with agreed wages and payment schedules.

The decision was based on a study of employer behavior regarding uploading wage protection files, which revealed that 91% of establishments already upload their files within 30 days of the due date.

The ministry stated that this adjustment aims to encourage faster and more accurate compliance with wage regulations, ensuring timely salary payments and strengthening trust and security in workplaces. This step aligns with the ministry’s commitment to improving the wage protection system (WPS) and facilitating file uploading via the Mudad platform.

This is part of the ministry’s ongoing efforts to enhance the efficiency of the WPS, support business stability, and improve transparency while safeguarding the rights of both employers and employees.

The ministry urged all establishments to regularly upload wage protection files within the designated timeframe. Employers are also encouraged to review the payroll management system to ensure seamless compliance with program requirements, contributing to a stable labor market and protecting workers' rights.
