HRSD Ministry localizes 41 jobs in tourism sector

The ministry said that this decision will apply to all tourism establishments in the private sector.

It added that the decision targets 41 leading and specialized professions, most notably hotel manager, hotel operations manager, hotel control manager, travel agency manager, planning and development manager, tourism development specialist, tourism guidance specialist, tourism organizer, hotel specialist, site guide, procurement specialist, sales specialist and hotel receptionist.

The decision will be implemented in three phases:

The first phase: It will start from April 22, 2026, and include the localization of four professions by 100%, 12 professions by 70%, and 12 professions by 50%.

The second phase: It will start from January 03, 2027, and include the localization of one profession by 30%.

Third and final phase: It will start from January 02, 2028, and include 50% localization of 12 leadership professions.

 The HRSD Ministry issued a procedural guide clarifying the details of the decision and the required professions and percentages on its website to inform employers and establishments about the mechanism for calculating localization and the penalties stipulated for violators.
