SADAFCO completes construction works for new depot in Yanbu

Saudia Dairy and Foodstuff Co. (SADAFCO) completed construction works for its new depot located in the Yanbu Industrial City (YIC).

In a statement to Tadawul today, April 28, the company said the depot is now fully operational, with all buildings, cold storage facilities, and safety, protection, and environmental systems in place.

This came in compliance with relevant regulations and standards, SADAFCO added, indicating that actual operations have now commenced on site.

The company noted that the delay in the project completion was due to the failure to supply electricity to the site on time.

According to data available with Argaam, SADAFCO’s board of directors approved in September 2023 the construction of the Yanbu-based depot on a land plot leased from the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON) for a period of 20 years, starting as of Oct. 4, 2022.

The project, spanning a land area of 5,083 square meters, is estimated to cost SAR 13 million (excluding VAT).
