Saudi Kayan starts trial operations of Polycarbonate plant at its complex in Jubail Industrial City

Saudi Kayan Petrochemical Company (Saudi Kayan) started trial operations of Polycarbonate plant at its complex in Jubial Industrial City on March, 14, 2011, with a designed capacity of 260,000 tons per annum, the company said in a filing to Tadawul.

Polycarbonate (PC) is used in manufacturing a variety of consumer products, commercial and industrial materials such as construction & housing , automotive, electronics ,medical instruments and equipment, optical media (CD and DVD).

Saudi Kayan is 35% owned by SABIC and 20% by “Saudi Kayan Petrochemical Company”.
