Al-Jazeera Capital, a joint stock brokerage firm that offers sharia-compliant products, maintained the lead among brokerage companies operating in the Saudi Stock Exchange for the 34th consecutive month, capturing 16.3 percent of October’s SAR 265.8 billion trading, according to a report by Tadawul, the Saudi bourse.

 

Al-Rajhi Capital, the investment banking arm of Saudi Arabia’s top listed lender, al-Rajhi bank, had 14.6 percent of the market in October, while HSBC Saudi Arabia came third, with 10.39 percent market share.

 

The value of the brokerage fees earned by firms is twice as much as that announced by Tadawul because the brokers earn fees from both the buyers and sellers.
