Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) is planning to expand its production and marketing activities in Turkey and Europe, Alriyadh newspaper reported Sunday, citing chief executive officer Yousef Al Benyan.
Despite facing challenges such as taxes and anti-dumping disputes, SABIC aims to increase Turkish exports from 30 percent by the end of 2015.
Al-Benyan said he hopes the Saudi Ministry of Commerce & Industry (MOCI) can hold talks with the Turkish government to remove obstacles to SABIC’s investments.
He added that King Salman’s visit to Turkey could likely play a major role in this regard.
