King Salman has approved a plan to address public health as a priority in Saudi Arabia to prevent diseases and ease the burden that it places on the Kingdom’s resources, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Sunday.

The plan requires government authorities to review all laws and regulations to help prevent diseases and ill health in the Kingdom. They will also be required to coordinate and achieve such targets together.

The health ministry said in a statement that health should be addressed as a priority in all regulations and policies among various sectors, public, non-governmental and charity organizations.
