King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) in Jeddah set a record growth in number of passengers travelling through its terminals in 2017, handling roughly 34 million passengers in 2017, official data showed.

The number of international air passengers using the airport's facilities rose by 16.8 percent YoY, while domestic passengers increased by 6.7 percent.

In 2017, the airport handled 226,800 flights, 3.46 percent higher than a year earlier.
