Saudi Railway Company to launch new routes starting Feb. 25

Saudi Railway Company (SAR) will add new daily routes between Riyadh-Hail, and Riyadh-Qassim starting Sunday, Feb. 25, it said on its website.

 

The train will depart from Riyadh daily at 9:30 am and from Hail at 3:25 pm, passing through Majmaah and Qassim.

 

The new routes are based on customer requests, he said. The company also added new morning roundtrips on Thursdays and Saturdays, and will add more trips when needed.

 

SAR had launched the railway transportation services between Riyadh, Majmaah, and Qassim last February, and opened Hail station on Nov. 26, 2017.

 

The company, which is fully owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), launched in 2011 a service line for heavy transport of minerals, oil, and petrochemicals.
