UAE-based GEMS Education on Tuesday said it has signed a joint venture agreement with Saudi Arabia's Mohammed Alsubeaei & Sons Investments Company (MASIC) to develop international curriculum schools across the Kingdom.
The joint venture will launch an education company, GEMS KSA, which will establish a network of schools within the next ten years as well as set up "TELLAL", a teacher training and school leadership development institution, GEMS said in a statement.
The education company said it plans to bring in other regional partners in the future.
Saudi Arabia is making concrete efforts towards developing its education sector at the primary, secondary, and higher education levels, with a steadily growing number of private schools and universities under its Vision 2030 programme.
