Donald Trump warns Russia of military action in Syria

US President Donald Trump on Wednesday told Russia to “get ready” for “smart” missiles to be fired at Syria, in what hints towards a military action.

 

“Russia vows to shoot down any and all missiles fired at Syria. Get ready Russia, because they will be coming, nice and new and “smart,” Trump said in a tweet.

The warning comes in the wake of the suspected chemical weapons attack, allegedly by the Syrian government forces.

 

Russia later responded, saying that such missiles promised by Trump would destroy all evidence of suspected chemical weapons attack, the Associated Press reported.

 

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Tuesday said that the Kingdom is ready to take part in military action in Syria alongside its allies. His comments came during a joint press conference in Paris with French President Emmanuel Macron.
