Saudi Arabia, Kuwait to establish coordination council

18/07/2018 Argaam

Saudi Arabia approved on Tuesday the formation of a Saudi-Kuwait coordination council, in a step aimed to strengthen economic ties between the two countries.

The decision was announced during a cabinet session, chaired by King Salman.

Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir, who is in Kuwait, will sign the agreement to establish the council, according to details of the cabinet session published by state news agency SPA.

Last month, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) set up a joint coordination council in a bid to boost political, security and military cooperation and enhance economic ties.
