Nitaqat to provide remote jobs for 50,000 Saudi women

Nitaqat, the labor ministry’s Saudization agency, is set to develop remote work centers to provide jobs for 50,000 Saudi women looking for work from home or a nearby center, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported, citing Nitaqat general supervisor Ghazi Al-Shahrani.

The nationalization agency has signed a number of partnerships last quarter including a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the housing ministry to create 6,000 building inspection jobs, he said.

An MoU was also signed with Al-Dawaa Co. to employ 400 pharmacists across the Kingdom, while another agreement was signed with the Public transport Authority to nationalize transport at the education sector.

Meetings were held with international firms such as Tesla, Amazon, Huawei and IBM to Saudize jobs in the renewable energy, telecom and IT sectors, he said.

Meanwhile, a feasibility study was conducted to set up a national operating and maintenance company for the public sector, in order to Saudize the sector and determine its suitable employment segment, he added.
