STC reports over 53% growth rate on Arafah

Saudi Telecom Co. (STC) reported a record-high growth rate of more than 53 percent year-on-year (YoY) on the day of Arafah, the firm said.

It also saw a 160 percent YoY increase in the 4G services, due to a 9 percent YoY rise in the number of pilgrims using the network.

Many pilgrims communicated via video calls during the Hajj season, taking advantage of the Kingdom’s gift of 1 gigabyte of data free of charge for each pilgrim.

STC’s employees took additional volunteering tasks around the holy sites, as they took part in handing out water and snacks, along with guiding pilgrims on Arafah.
