Saudi Ministry of Transport inked SAR 4.3 billion worth of contracts with local contracting companies to operate, maintain and clean roads across the Kingdom for the period 2019-2022, the ministry said in a statement.
“The contracts cater to the needs of each region. They were awarded to various Saudi companies, and are intended to promote road safety and maintenance,” Saudi Transport Minister Nabeel Alamudi said during the signing ceremony.
“These contracts will take up to three years to ensure safety and maintenance,” Alamudi noted.
“Signing these contracts will likely fulfill the rising demand in the Kingdom, and comes in line with the awarding of 88 projects earlier this year,” he further added.
