US rig count rises for first time in 7 weeks: Baker Hughes

The US drilling rig count increased by one unit to 556 in the week ended June 9, marking the first rise in seven weeks, General Electric Co.’s Baker Hughes energy services firm said in its closely followed report on Friday.

 

Meanwhile, the gas rig count decreased by two to 135 in the week.
