Saudi petchem sector’s Q3 2019 profit misses estimates by 38%
The aggregate net profit of Saudi petrochemical producers reached SAR 2.15 billion in Q3 2019, missing average analysts’ forecasts of SAR 3.44 billion by 38 percent, data compiled by Argaam showed.
Saudi Basic Industries Corp.’s (SABIC) Q3 net profit of SAR 830 million came 62 percent below estimates of SAR 2.2 billion.
Most petrochemical companies missed analysts’ expectations. Meanwhile, National Industrialization Co. (Tasnee), Saudi Kayan Petrochemical Co., Petrochem and Advanced beat average estimates.
Rabigh Refining and Petrochemical Co. (Petro Rabigh) posted today a net profit after zakat and tax of SAR 394 million for Q3 2019, a rise of 62.14 percent year-on-year.
No forecasts were issued by research firms for the company in the third quarter.
