Saudi Arabia relaxes curfew from 9am to 5pm for Ramadan

Saudi Arabia revised its curfew hours for Ramadan to allow residents more time to shop for essential needs, Saudi Press Agency reported on Tuesday, citing a Ministry of Interior source.
 

Residents in areas and cities not currently under a 24-hour lockdown will be allowed to go out between 9am and 5pm during Ramadan.
 

However, residents of the areas that are under a complete lockdown will only be allowed to go out for essential needs, such as grocery shopping or medical visits, between 9am and 5pm within the boundaries of their neighborhoods. Only two people will be allowed in one vehicle at a time.
 

Residents of areas that have been quarantined are still prevented from leaving their homes at any time.
 

The Kingdom has unveiled a number of precautionary measures to curb the spread of virus.

The Ministry of Interior has been reevaluating these measures in coordination with the health authorities.
