Here are a few things you need to know as Saudi stocks start trading on Monday.

 

1) Saudi Arabian Oil Co. (Saudi Aramco) reported an 82% year-on-year (YoY) surge in Q1 2022 net profit after minorities to SAR 143 billion.

 

2Saudi Aramco’s board approved the distribution of SAR 70.33 billion ($18.76 billion) cash dividend to shareholders for the first quarter of 2022.

 

3) Saudi Aramco’s shareholders approved to increase capital from SAR 60 billion to SAR 75 billion by capitalizing SAR 15 billion from retained earnings through granting one share for every 10 shares.

 

4) Saudi Tadawul Group Holding Co. (Tadawul Group) reported a net profit after Zakat and tax of SAR 140.6 million in Q1 2022, down 22% YoY. 

 

5Middle East Healthcare Co. (Saudi German Health) reported a 69% YoY rise in Q1 2022 net profit after Zakat and tax to SAR 20.5 million.

 

6) Saudi Basic Industries Corp. (SABIC) announced the launch of the trial operation of its China-based industrial complex for the production of polycarbonate.

 

7) Arabian Centres Co. (ACC) said the fire at the Mall of Dhahran affected an area less than 10% of the mall’s gross leasable area (GLA), based on an initial field survey. 

 

8) Fawaz Abdulaziz Alhokair Co.’s (Fawaz Alhokair) preliminary estimates indicate that 11 out of 64 stores in the Mall of Dhahran were damaged by the fire on May 13.

 

9) Arabian Pipes Co.’s shareholders rejected the board’s recommendation to increase capital via a SAR 300 million rights issue.

 

10) Brent crude fell 1.60% to reach $109.77 per barrel. WTI crude lost 1.51% to reach $108.82/bbl.
