Workers at a construction site
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD) implements today, June 15, the decision to ban outdoor work carried out under sunlight between 12 noon and 3 pm.
The ban will continue until Sept. 15.
The ministry underlined the need to regulate working hours in order to reduce on-the-job injuries and illnesses, and to improve and increase productivity.
This decision comes within the ministry’s framework to maintain the safety and health of workers in the private sector, as well as its commitment to provide a healthy and safe working environment for employees, in accordance with the requirements of safety and vocational health.
