Amendments to civil pension, social insurance laws boost insurance protection: GOSI

The General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI) said the recent amendments to the Civil Pension Law, Social Insurance Law, and the Law of Benefit Exchange between the Civil and Military Pension Laws and Social Insurance Law target further insurance protection for subscribers.

In a statement, GOSI added that the amendments encourage the continuation of subscriber categories under the umbrella of insurance protection, in addition to providing insurance benefits to all subscriber categories.

The Benefits Exchange Law also aims to preserve rights and achieve peace and stability among employees who were transferred from the Civil Pension Law and covered by the Social Insurance Law as a result of the transformation process that some sectors are witnessing, it added.

Umm Al-Qura newspaper published on June 18 some amendments to the Civil Pension Law, Social Insurance Law, and the Law of Benefit Exchange between the Civil and Military Pension Laws and Social Insurance Law, which have been recently approved by the Cabinet, according to Argaam's data.
