Saudi social insurance subscribers cross 10 mln in Q1 2023: GOSI

Saudi Arabia’s General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI) said a total of 10.42 million public and private sector employees were registered in the social insurance scheme by the end of Q1 2023, an increase of almost 5% from 9.90 million in Q4 2022, as follows:

Insured citizens, who account for 25% of the total public and private sectors’ subscribers, increased by about 49,400 to 2.61 million in Q1 2023, compared to Q4 2022.
The number of insured expatriate workers surged by roughly 467,000 quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) to 7.81 million in Q1 2023. They account for 75% of the Kingdom’s total subscribers.
