NHC says construction of 2nd transmission plant in Al-Fursan begins

National Housing Co. (NHC) announced that construction of the second transmission plant and power grid in Al-Fursan suburb, in the northeast of Riyadh, has begun at a total value exceeding SAR 285 million. It spans a total area of over 5,600 square meters (sqm). The move comes as part of NHC’s expansion plans, as the plant will be connected to power networks by high-voltage lines of more than 20 kilometer-length. This will provide power for more than 10,000 residential units, including parks.

Works in the first phase began earlier this year to complete the development of infrastructure in the destination. This includes water, electricity, and telecommunications networks, as well as lighting, sidewalks, road paving, and designated areas for public service facilities. These works will be implemented according to the highest standards to create an integrated residential environment within model urban communities.
