Jarir expects 5% growth in sales, 5 new showrooms in 2025: Chairman

Muhammad Alagil, Chairman of Jarir Marketing Co., expects sales to increase by SAR 500 million this year, with a growth rate of 5% compared to 2024.
In an interview with Argaam, Alagil revealed that Jarir plans to open five new stores this year, spanning Riyadh, Jeddah, the Eastern Province, and Qatar.
He noted that e-commerce now represents over 25% of the company’s total sales, while installment sales increased by 32% 2024-end.
Alagil also pointed out that the wholesale and corporate segment saw a 15% decline by the end of 2024, while the retail sector grew by 3% during the same period.
Jarir is working on a bundle of new initiatives to improve products, as new devices will be introduced that provide additional capabilities for artificial intelligence (AI) and its accessories and significantly expand the portfolio of game categories, according to the Chairman.
Regarding books, Alagil confirmed that over half a million books will be available on the website, providing customers with a wider range of options beyond traditional stores.
Additionally, Jarir is working to enhance its offerings, especially its trade-in service, enabling customers to trade in old devices for new ones.
Alagil also noted that the website will undergo comprehensive improvements in the second quarter of this year, aimed at increasing efficiency and improving user experience.
According to the data available on Argaam, Jarir Marketing’s profits increased slightly to SAR 974 million by the end of 2024, compared to profits of SAR 973 million in 2023. The company’s fourth-quarter profits amounted to SAR 275.4 million.
