Halwani: an incident in the steam boiler at the old plant

Halwani Brothers Company said that one of its four steam boilers at its old Jeddah plant malfunctioned, due to a defect in the safety valve; the company said in a filing to Tadawul.
 

 Production was halted as electricity was cut to the site in addition to the adjacent offices as a safety procedure.

The company does not expect any financial impact from the incident as the factory is fully insured, nor does it expect a negative impact on sales as it will continue to supply the market though inventory.

Halwani added that the Ma’amoul and the packing plants located in Jeddah work at their full capacities.
