Saudi Arabia’s labor ministry said that final exit visas were issued on Wednesday to almost 500 workers at Saudi Oger.

 

In addition, a decision will be taken within the next two weeks on the workers’ delayed wages, Al-Watan newspaper reported on Thursday, citing Zaid Al-Subaie, director general of Jeddah Labor Office.

 

An agreement was also reached with Saudi Oger executives to prioritize payment of wages to those willing to leave the kingdom, Al-Subaie added.

 

The Saudi government was said to be in talks on taking over Saudi Oger, which is owned by the family of former Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Al-Hariri.

 

A total of 31,000 employees have lodged complaints with the Labor Office against the company, claiming that their salaries have been delayed for nine months, Argaam reported.
