Saudi Arabia’s energy minister Khalid Al-Falih is expected to visit Russia next week, Reuters reported citing sources familiar with the matter.
Al-Falih will first visit Moscow then Saint Petersburg, where Russia will host the Economic Forum June 1-3.
During the forum, Al-Falih will meet with his Russian counterpart, Alexander Novak, the OPEC Secretary General Mohammad Sanusi Barkindo, CEOs of Total and BP.
OPEC as well as the non-OPEC oil producing countries, including Russia, agreed last week to extend the oil production cut for nine months.
