Saudi Arabia’s King Salman and Russian President Vladimir Putin attended on Thursday the signing ceremony of a number of mutual cooperation agreements at the Kremlin, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported. The deals are as follows:
1) A cooperation agreement on space exploration for peaceful purposes between King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology and the Russian Federal Space Agency.
2) A memorandum of understanding (MoU) to cooperate in information and communications technology (ICT) between Saudi’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and its Russian counterpart.
3) An MoU between Saudi’s Ministry of Commerce and Investment and Russia’s Ministry of Industry and Trade.
4) The Saudi-Russian roadmap agreement between Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Commerce and Investment and the Russian Ministry of Energy.
5) An MoU for cooperation in the field of labor, development and social protection between the Kingdom’s Ministry of Labor and Social Development and Russia’s Ministry of Labor and Social Protection.
6) An executive program for cultural cooperation.
7) A program for agricultural cooperation.
8) A MoU for cooperation in the peaceful use of nuclear energy between King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy and Russia’s ROSATOM.
9) The Saudi Military Industries Company and Russia’s Rosoboronexport Co. signed contracts for the supply of military systems and transfer of technology to manufacture Russian weapons in the Kingdom.
10) Two MoUs to establish a Saudi-Russian platform for energy investments and a Saudi-Russian platform for technology investments Saudi’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) and the Russian Fund for Direct Investment.
11) An MoU between PIF, Leader Investment Company, and the Russian Fund for Direct Investment to invest in three projects for roads and light trains in Russia.
