Dubai-based Majid Al Futtaim (MAF) will invest SAR 2 billion ($533 million) open 600 VOX movie theatres in Saudi Arabia over the next five years, it said on Thursday.

 

The first Vox cinema, comprising a four-screen multiplex, will open at Riyadh Park Mall in the capital in the coming days, it added.

 

The distribution arm of Majid Al Futtaim Cinemas will exclusively distribute Fox content to all cinemas across the Kingdom through its pact with 20th Century Fox.

 

In 2018, the company is planning to release anticipated hits including “The Darkest Minds,” “The Predator” and the James Cameron produced “Alita: Battle Angel,” the company added.
