Saudia flew over 20 mln passengers in 7M 2018

Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) flew more than 20 million passengers on board over 124,720 domestic and international flights from the beginning of the year until the end of July, the national carrier said.

 

In July, the firm flew more than 3.13 million passengers on board 18,620 flights, a 9 percent year-on-year (YoY) growth in the number of passsengers and 6 percent YoY increase in flights.

 

Saudia operated over 600 flights and flew more than 100,000 passengers daily.

 

The total of 1.52 million passengers flew on board 10,570 flights in July, while over 1.61 million passengers flew on board 8,000 international flights, a 16 percent YoY rise.

 

Adding new aircrafts and the ideal utilization of Saudia’s fleet are key factors in implementing the operation plans and contributed to the growth of both the domestic and international segments, said Saleh Al Jasser, director general.
