Saudi Arabia is working on an agreement with Kuwait to continue oil production in the neutral zone for the next 5-10 years, while they work on the related sovereignty issues, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman told Bloomberg in an interview.
Part of the sovereignty issues has been unresolved for the past 50 years, which can’t be fixed in a few weeks, so the Kingdom is trying to agree on resuming production with Kuwait, while they work on those issues, the Crown Prince explained.
The Kuwaiti leadership wants to move on that. It’s good for both countries, Prince Mohammed said, adding: “I believe it’s a matter of time until it’s solved.”
