US amusement park company Six Flags is going ahead with its participation in Saudi Arabia’s mega project Qiddiya, Michael Reininger, CEO, Qiddiya Investment Company, said on Thursday at the ongoing Future Investment Initiative (FII) conference in Riyadh.

”Six Flags is definitely proceeding ahead with us. They were one of the first of the long line of partnerships,” he said.

“We’re basing the Qiddiya project on what we call the 5 cornerstones: Parks and attractions; motion and mobility; nature and environment; sports and wellness; and arts and culture,” he said.

He said Qiddiya will become a self-sustained economic ecosystem, and everything about Qiddiya is focused on the future, whether it’s economy or employment.

Qiddiya is the the 334-square-km entertainment, sports and cultural destination on the outskirts of Riyadh.
