Out of the total number of job seeking Saudi pharmacists, 40 percent were employed in the first five months of 2019, ahead of reaching the target figures by the end of 2020, Al-Eqtisadiah reported, citing Minister of Labor and Social Development Ahmed bin Suleiman Al-Rajhi.
“The ministry is implementing the nationalization plan for 2,000 jobs in the pharmaceutical sector,” Al-Rajhi said, adding that “it is working with related agencies to raise the nationalization rates through joint agreements with the private sector that includes training and employment.”
According to data compiled by Argaam, the labor ministry has recently launched the pharmaceutical nationalization initiative which entails raising nationalization in the sector to 20 percent at enterprises with more than five expats.
