Saudi Arabia's dairy producer Almarai has named Georges Schorderet as new chief executive officer in place of Alois Hofbauer, effective from July 7, 2019, the company said in a bourse filing on Sunday.
The new decision came after former CEO Hofbauer had tendered his resignation on July 6 for personal reasons.
Schorderet, who has an experience of 15 years, currently serves as advisor to the board of directors. He had earlier served as the company’s CEO from Feb. 1, 2015 to April 1, 2019 and as its chief operating officer.
Almarai’s board of director has also decided to appoint Majed Nofal as deputy CEO and Paul Gay as chief financial officer, effective July 7.
Nofal has an experience of 12 years. He currently serves as the company’s CFO and previously served as general manager, the statement added.
On the other hand, Paul has served the company for eight years as chief financial officer and held many senior positions in other firms, such as Firmenich, Givaudan, Roche Group, Computerland Europe, ICL, National Semiconductor and IBM across China, Japan, the United States of America and Europe.
