Saudi Arabia's Cabinet has authorized Khalid Al-Falih, Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources, to negotiate and sign a memorandum of understanding with the Jordanian government for a power connectivity project.
The preliminary agreement will be submitted at a later stage to finalize all regulatory procedures, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Tuesday.
Earlier this year, Saudi Arabia and Jordan announced a plan to begin construction of their power connectivity project by 2022.
