10 things to watch on Tadawul today

Here are a few things you need to know as Saudi stocks start trading on Monday.

 

1) Saudi Basic Industries Corp. (SABIC) posted a net profit after zakat and tax of SAR 5.52 billion for H1 2019, a fall of 54.8 percent year-on-year (YoY) on lower average selling prices.

 

2) Salama Cooperative Insurance Co.’s shareholders have disapproved audited financial statements and audit report for the fiscal year 2018 during the general assembly meeting held on July 25.

 

3) Al Hammadi Company for Development and Investment posted a net profit after zakat and tax of SAR 44.2 million for H1 2019, a decline of 13 percent year-on-year (YoY) on higher operating expenses.

 

4) Saudi Enaya Cooperative Insurance Co. has renewed its license with the Saudi Council of Cooperative Health Insurance (CCHI) for one year.

 

5) National Agricultural Development Co. (NADEC) posted a net profit after zakat and tax of SAR 3.39 million for H1 2019, a fall of 77 percent year-on-year (YoY).

 

6) L’Azurde For Jewelry Co.’s net profit after zakat and tax surged 73.8 percent year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 74.12 million in the first half of 2019.

 

7) Najran Cement Co. posted a net profit after zakat and tax of SAR 3.5 million for the first half of 2019, versus net loss of SAR 41.9 million a year earlier, driven by higher sales volumes and selling prices.

 

8) National Industrialization Co. (Tasnee) reported a net profit after zakat and tax of SAR 456.2 million for H1 2019, a drop of 39.7 percent year-on-year (YoY) due to lower average selling prices of petrochemical and titanium dioxide products.

 

9) Saudi Public Transport Co. (SAPTCO) trimmed net losses after zakat and tax by 39.8 percent year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 20.6 million for H1 2019, driven by higher operating and subsidiary revenue.

 

10) Brent crude on Monday fell 24 cents to reach $63.22/bbl, while WTI crude also decreased 10 cents to reach $56.10/bbl.
